There was a
time when the internet was mostly static websites, blogs and bulletin boards. Those
were the places where people shared things online.
Then came
social media that radically transformed how content is shared and consumed
online.
But even
today blogs are still a thing.
While there
are plenty of blog genres nowadays, the good old personal blog can also still
be found in some corners of the blogosphere.
I read and follow a few such blogs. They are mostly personal spaces centered
around the life of the person who curates it. These personal web logs are very
much like a journal where people document their life and share stuff they like.
In fact,
I’ve wanted to keep a personal blog myself for quite awhile. I thought about
doing it many times. But for a variety of reasons, I never got to it … until
now.
Now I
effectively have a plan and a space to do so. So here I am finally getting
started at it. This thing is currently still in its early earliest stages, but
it looks like 2024 might be the year when I start blogging.
I’m pretty
excited about it!
